We're looking for a creative Copywriter to join a dynamic team in helping to create the digital presence of one of the world’s most talked about brands.

The right person for this role is confident and comfortable navigating an environment that is not always clearly defined and has many stakeholders. Positivity, transparency, and participation in constructive criticism is required. Bring your point of view and be ready to defend it.

The ideal candidate is client-facing, has a proven track record in a brand or digital agency and has experience managing small teams. The ability to break down complex ideas and processes into consumer friendly soundbites is a big bonus.

CURRENT SITUATION

Our client is hiring a variety of different roles including two copywriters, one with more experience in campaigns and marketing and one who has knowledge on SEO. The role is remote with the preference for someone who can work in Eastern Standard Time.

The is a client with multiple stakeholders, and processes have yet to be created. With this in mind, our ideal candidate will need to be a diligent copywriter but also have experience in being part of or building workflows and processes that meet the client’s needs.

You’re a mastermind at working through ambiguity, developing processes and implementing best practices. You will work closely with the UI/UX team by providing feedback and guidance to designers. You’re confident in being the captain of the ship and steering the team in the right direction on how to work efficiently and effectively. You will have 3-4 junior copywriters reporting to you.

The ideal candidate will need to understand both client brand and business objectives, and can react and stand on their own two feet to defend their recommendations and point of view. You’re able to insert SEO search terms from our content specialist in the right way into copy decks and website.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES & REQUIREMENTS

  • Helping define larger brand narratives alongside art, design, strategy and UX team members

  • Executing the elements of those narratives and helping guide other writers in execution

  • Brainstorm on creative initiatives both from the client and proactively

  • Work closely with the creative lead to present thinking and work to client stakeholders

  • Helping to craft creative briefs for the teams

  • Working with strategy and creative lead to define and execute a consistent and memorable brand tone and voice across social.

  • Understanding and building upon existing digital & brand strategies

  • Understanding SEO on-page best practices and integrating data driven insights into your copy

  • Collaborating with UX teams in relation to website organization, navigation and taxonomies

MUST HAVES

  • You can turn big words and confusing concepts into simple, engaging copy

  • You're interested in digital marketing, digital products, and keep up to date with what's happening in the digital space

  • You have the ability to use information and raw data sets from multiple sources and craft a narrative into compelling reports, articles, video scripts, or other omnichannel storytelling forms

  • You are confident about switching context and work on multiple projects at the same time

  • You understand market segments, empathy maps, and SEO

  • You're a natural editor, with a gift for getting to the point

  • You have a proven track record of prioritizing your workload and problem solving independently

  • 5+ years' experience of creative and strategic writing in business, journalism, agency or brand is preferred

  • Managing and mentoring a small team

  • You thrive in a collaborative work environment, and have a POV. You’re able to read the room and be able to keep up with the client’s ask.
