Intermediate Writer

 

The Opportunity

We are looking for an ideas wizard to join an award winning agency. This opportunity is for a talented writer capable of creating unique, rich and omni-channel story telling experiences. Reporting to a Creative Director, this person will work in both solo/partnered capacities across the full suite of clients.

Role Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to help define business problems and designing the technical solutions to meet their needs.

  • Architect and develop web and mobile applications end-to-end.

  • Work closely with design, research & strategy focused team members to find creative technical solutions using modern client-side, server-side and SOA technology.

  • Work with other development team members to share responsibilities.

  • Work in cross-disciplinary teams of people, helping them do successful work and grow as practitioners.

  • An idea person with a strong desire to create stories that make a difference

  • A creative heart but a project management mind with a keen ability to manage multiple campaigns, clients, and teams

  • Feels comfortable crafting presentations for all new business pitches and high-level client presentations

  • We are looking for people who have good judgment, guts, and spirit as well as are scrappy and imaginative

  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and a strong desire to make an impact and do something meaningful

  • Working knowledge of the following tools is critical to your success in this role: Keynote, Microsoft Office, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PPT, Google Docs, Adobe Acrobat

Required Experience

  • 5-7 years’ experience working in a creative or PR agency as a multichannel storyteller

  • College or university degree - post-secondary courses in advertising, design, public relations or related field is preferred

  • Experience executing integrated campaigns that include influencer programs, social media programs, and content creation

  • Proven ability to lead communications-led integrated campaigns, working collaboratively with different teams (social, digital, creative, strategy etc.)

  • Understanding of creative/production deadlines, and the ability to project manage self to ensure deadlines are reasonable, understood and consistently met
