Our client, an exclusive luxury retailer in the automotive space, is looking for a new Social Media Strategist to lead their social media content strategy as well as content development and execution.

Ideal for an auto enthusiast with experience or an understanding of the luxury brand audience, the Social Media Strategist will be accountable for the planning, execution, and management of consistent content across each brands’ platforms. The primary objective of this role is to develop content aiming to elevate luxury perception and reputation through simplicity, elegance, and polish. As the successful candidate, you will be an expert on social content as well as being ahead of the curve when it comes to knowing what content stands out in the competitive digital landscape.

Reporting to the Senior Brand Experience Manager, the successful candidate will ensure the brand is consistently publishing regular recurring lifestyle content. They will leverage the expertise of and oversee a videographer and photographer to capture professional imagery but will also be required to tap in to their own creativity to capture and edit content on behalf of the brand when needed.

The successful candidate will work remotely with the exception of travel 2-3 days per week to retail locations and events to capture content as well as oversee photography and videography, ensuring the intended assets are documented. The candidate will also foster relationships with retail staff to be aware of incoming inventory and schedule continuous media shoots. Retailers are located across Southern Ontario including Brampton and Oakville, the successful candidate must have a clean driving record and valid license and able to commute of these locations.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage photographer and videographer

  • Keep up to date with the latest trends within social media & content marketing

  • Develop monthly content calendars and maintain day-to-day content management, brand engagement and community management of all social platforms for all brands

  • Conceptualize and write social media copy that is on-brand and in line with each auto brands’ tone of voice

  • Consider every aesthetic detail of social content from images to links to formatting copy

  • Understand brand guidelines for each brand

  • Work with Marketing Managers to bring to life campaigns on social channels

  • Provide monthly reporting on social performance per brand and leverage data to identify meaningful

  • campaign opportunities

  • Implement paid media on key posts and tactical advertising

  • Provide clear direction on content required.

  • Identify new innovative ways to conceptualize content that meets best practices within social media

WHAT YOU BRING:

  • 2-3+ years of experience working within a similar role (automotive enthusiast ideal)

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of the Social Media luxury landscape – including content development,

  • Optimization and publishing algorithms, building and engaging communities, planning and execution of socially led campaigns (including but not limited to Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok)

  • Strong luxury visual sense with a comprehensive understanding of what content works on different social media platforms and apps required to enhance experience on social

  • Experience in content curation and content creation for several social platforms

  • Experience with digital graphic design & basic video editing

  • Written & verbal communication in English at 100%

  • Experience with social metrics, social listening, web analytics tools and data driven insights

  • Very organized and able to handle several projects at a time

  • Social advertising skills and experience with paid ads on Facebook and Instagram

  • Experienced with social management platforms (e.g. Sprout)

  • Excellence in project planning and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience and knowledge of luxury brands in social a plus

  • Must have valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Ability to travel weekly to locations across Brampton, Vaughan, and the GTA
