Account Director B2B
THE OPPORTUNITY
Ari Agency is looking for an Account Director, B2B to lead clients through their strategic marketing initiatives in brand positioning, digital inbound, content and creative. The role oversees 5-7 internal resources of writers, designers, production artists and strategists, while partnering internally with the two founding partners. We need a strategic and tactical client service professional to provide project management and account management support on B2B digital inbound campaigns that integrate brand strategy, content strategy and design strategy. You’ll be responsible for creating strategies and setting KPIs that tie into a client’s entire ecosystem including marketing, sales, and service.
As Account Director you’ll focus on taking accounts to the next level, ensuring account health, and participating in pitches to help close new accounts. You’ll be both strategic and tactical helping enterprise B2B Technology, Cloud & Finance clients to develop, execute and optimize their digital marketing plans, tied through marketing automation. You focus on the human experience when providing recommendations and strategies, you are a trusted client partner, and a stakeholder in the agency to drive growth and provide leadership to rem members.

The two founding partners have successfully differentiated themselves by remaining true to their roots of doing work that matters, doing the right thing and creating meaningful content experiences grounded in strategy. Currently, 70% of the agency work is based in Canada and 30% is with US-based clients.
The B2B clients (most with North American footprints) offer innovative solutions that help solve for challenges in business growth and human connection. The hire of this position comes at a critical juncture for the agency as they look to build upon their established client relationships by adding an additional full-time member to the core team – someone who is passionate about being a stakeholder in a growing agency. The entire team has always operated remotely and will continue to remain as a remote working model. In-person internal and client meetings are a part of the working model.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Account Management – Collaborate with the agency Partners and clients to identify and present opportunities for account growth, while ensuring account health. You bring leadership to client engagements, helping clients strategically develop digital marketing plans. As a trusted client partner, you’re not only client facing, but you also play a bigger role supporting clients and account teams.
Project Management – Manage ongoing projects and tasks in the delivery of marketing programs and services. Coordinate status of tasks and timelines leveraging PM software - internal and client-facing.
Content Strategy - Develop, execute & optimize content strategy; work with internal resources and clients to ensure successful delivery of content that meets the agency and client standards for blogs, eBooks, website, landing pages and collateral pieces.
Design Delivery - Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with the client and designers, to ensure the right creative is recommended based on measurements and optimization.
Optimization & Reporting - Develop and foster an environment to best analyze campaign results, identify areas for optimization and extract actionable insights within the digital channels.
Resource & Team Management - Source, coordinate and manage team members and freelancers in the day-to-day delivery of services.
Budgeting - Track and manage time and budgets, ensure adequate use of resources and profitability on accounts.
Create trusted relationships with clients through transparent conversations, regular communication, driving results through the ideation and delivery of solutions to business challenges with an exceptionally high level of customer service
Provide end-to-end Project Management support including oversight on all projects and providing strategic recommendations on timing, resources, and client communications
Bring leadership to client engagements. Be a stakeholder in driving GTM strategy for clients (brand. campaigns).
Prioritize and manage client expectations
Ensure the strategic and creative excellence of team outputs in response to client briefs
Identify gaps in account performance and make recommendations for improvement.
Ensure solution-oriented account management across all clients through consultative coaching
Help develop and present complex strategies and plans that drive accounts forward
Prepare analytics reporting for clients on campaign performance and make recommendations for optimization
Manage the creation of digital content for a variety of platforms and clients (web, social, blogs, email marketing, creative)
Manage and QA strategic content and be able to directly support in writing, copy editing, formatting, and publishing content in WordPress or HubSpot, scheduling social posts, preparing decks for clients, presenting.
WHO YOU ARE
B2B Client Experience: A track record of success leading/managing B2B client accounts and and mapping the workflow critical path.
Enterprise Client Experience: A track record of success engaging in strategic conversations that tie together the whole client ecosystem of sales, service, and marketing.
Account Management: Demonstrated strengths for managing an account; including developing the key indicators of account health.
Project Management Expertise: Exceptional skills managing & accurately tracking all project deliverables within project management software
Content Strategy: Develop, execute & optimize omni channel content strategies tied to the broader strategy; including social, web, landing pages, blogs, eBooks.
Client Presentations: Demonstrated success in participating in client pitch presentations that help to close new business.
Education and/or Experience - Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, degree or concentration in Advertising, Digital Marketing, Media, Communications.
