Director, Digital Marketing
THE OPPORTUNITY
Ari Agency is looking for a Director, Digital Marketing to lead the digital marketing growth, strategy & vision for an agency leader in integrated brand design, development and performance. The role oversees 1 direct report and partners internally with Account Services, Creative, Studio, Strategy and Client Engagement teams, to leverage every opportunity to integrate multi-channel digital strategy and plans. As Director, Digital Marketing you’ll focus on client leadership and helping clients strategically develop digital marketing plans. You are a trusted client partner, not only client facing and plays a larger role supporting clients and account teams.
The hire of this position comes at a critical juncture for the agency as it looks to leverage their long-term client relationships, to include digital strategies. The role sits in Mississauga and reports to VP Client Engagement. While everyone is currently working remote, as of early 2022, the intention is for everyone to begin working in a hybrid model which includes working in office 2-3 days/week.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Existing Clients, Account Growth – Collaborate with Account Teams to identify and present digital strategies that align with client KPIs and business objectives. You bring leadership to client engagements, helping clients strategically develop digital marketing plans. As trusted client partner, not only client facing, you play a bigger role supporting clients and account teams.
New Business – Collaborate with VP Client Engagement and Account Directors to pitch and land new business; identifying and creating opportunities to win new digital business; includes pitch deck development, financial estimates.
Digital Strategy/Tactics - Collaborate with Account Services & VP Client Engagement on how to identify opportunities for digital integration, setting digital standards, processes, and guidelines. Provides leadership and guidance for the agency around all digital strategies and the tactical Media Plan development and execution.
Measurement and Delivery - Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with client strategy, creative and account services team to ensure the right creative is recommended based on data-driven measurement and optimization.
Optimization & Reporting - Develop and foster an environment in which teams can best analyze campaign digital results, identify areas for optimization and extract actionable insights within the digital channels.

You are a strategic and visionary digital leader who can bring data-driven strategy, lead client presentations and provide execution oversight. You bring a strong presence and an entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for variety and driving agency/client growth. If you are innately collaborative, strategic & consultative and you bring at least 8 years of advanced digital marketing experience, a growth mindset, you might be the perfect fit!
Requirements
Provide end-to-end Digital Project Management Support
Bring leadership to client engagements. Help clients strategically develop digital marketing plans.
Build proposals, estimates and financial management
Research and create keyword lists for Google Ads search campaigns
Prepare analytics reporting for clients on campaign performance and make recommendations for optimization
Optimize SEO strategies and run audits
A/B testing for creative, copy, etc.
Well-versed in the digital ecosystem with a particular focus in Paid Search, Display and Social.
Supervisory experience in a media agency or other professional business environment with demonstrated development of direct reports.
Managing the creation of digital content for a variety of platforms and clients (web, social, blogs, email marketing, creative)
Help develop and execute Social Media Marketing Plans, create editorial calendars, content, and community management
Help develop, execute, and monitor Digital Ad campaigns (content creation and management of Google, Facebook, and Display ad platforms)
Write ad copy for Google & Facebook Ads
Education and/or Experience - Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, degree or concentration in Advertising, Digital Marketing, Media, Communications.
Eight years or more of progressive leadership in a digital-first agency, including supervisor experience.
