VP of Digital Engineering and Operations

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide strong leadership and mentorship for the engineering and operations teams, including defining professional standards, driving team practices for agile methodologies and strategically allocating team members to agile labs
Envision and lead the development and implementation of a technology roadmap for the digital business, using agile methodologies that drive outcomes in alignment with the overall digital strategy
Provide vision and leadership in digital innovation and acceleration in collaboration with Enterprise Technology, including emerging and disruptive technologies, to realize unique value add and competitive differentiation for our digital products
Direct the engineering team to develop, maintain and adhere to a software plan while applying agile methodologies to deliver “best in class” products and services
Provide strategic direction to product management teams by translating business requirements into feasible technical plans, evaluating designs and implementation approaches, define software processes, while ensuring quality, reliability, and timely execution
Develop the solution architecture, tools, and methodologies in collaboration with enterprise architecture to support the digital business strategy and roadmap
Work with Enterprise IT to build out cloud infrastructure to support the needs from various digital labs
Work in close collaboration with Enterprise Technology to provide input to strategic technology related choices including those related to application integration and development of digital solutions
Design and embed a clear framework for productivity and velocity to ensure the digital business is scaling effectively and efficiently
Provide product teams with an overview of the architected solutions from ideation and proof of concept through to quality control and testing
Provide leadership in the establishment of technology governance requirements within the Digital Division to ensure controls are in place to protect the organization from cyber threats
Oversee the planning, development, and continuous improvement of processes and controls for Anti Money Laundering (AML) monitoring within the Digital Division
Drive practices that ensure digital operations teams consistently apply regulatory and customer standards for gaming
Provide exceptional leadership in developing and engaging, strong, united teams who work together to be to innovative in providing solutions to challenging dynamic problems
WHO YOU ARE
A Bachelor of Science, MBA or Professional Engineer with 10-15 years of progressive technology delivery experience and a proven track record as an inclusive leader working in an innovative, fast-paced software development environment
At least 5 years of experience at a senior leadership level in a digital environment; experience in gaming is an asset
Have deep technical knowledge and/or familiarity with the following:
- Leading software development using agile methodologies and design thinking
- Leading teams building modern front-end applications in Java, C++, and C#
- Experience with engineering principles, frameworks, and libraries, such as JS React and Angular
- Able to lead teams writing and utilizing autonomous services oriented RESTful API services and performance tuning for largescale applications
- Making architecture decisions at team, product, and enterprise level
- Leading high-performing software development teams in a B2C environment
Demonstrated experience in translating user requirements into deployable solutions
Results oriented to focus on achieving agreed upon objectives and outcomes with a sense of urgency
Effectively adept and confident working in highly abstract environment
Strategic thinking, interpersonal communication, influencing and negotiation, decision making
Ability to establish credibility through rapport and by working effectively across teams to build momentum around proposed solutions, raising the bar as it relates to digital delivery
