Group Account Director
THE OPPORTUNITY
We’re looking for an accomplished senior marketing/client leader who is passionate about building a book of business and has broad marketing experience that encompasses; integrated marketing, CX Design, digital marketing, CRM/personalization, marketing analytics, digital media, database/direct marketing, social media and strategic planning.

The Client in one of Canada's fastest growing digital companies. We’re building North America’s leading personalization, Digital Messaging and CRM agency. They help organizations communicate relevant, personalized messaging to their customers through Email, Mobile Push, SMS, Social, Web, Marketing Automation and Chat. Some of Canada's most successful brands in the Loyalty, Retail, CPG, B2B, and Financial Services sectors work with our CRM subject matter experts to create lasting relationships, increase lifetime value, capture wallet share, build loyalty and elevate their brand above competitors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Actively growing one or more of our agency's largest and highest potential accounts by understanding our clients' needs and identifying ways we can meet and exceed them
Building deep, trusting relationships with our clients - you’re close to the business and understand a client’s annual marketing plan process and how an agency becomes an integral participant in helping build that plan
Leading the development of “performance creative” - direct, engaging messages and content that drive business results
Creating and managing account plans that reinforce our goal to proactively help lead clients to success, not sitting back and processing orders and cost estimates
Leading the account team - acting as a mentor and coach for our Account Directors and Account Managers, ensuring the work being delivered is connected and grounded in the client's business needs, serving as the senior voice of the client within the agency
Delivering account revenue & profitability targets
Influencing across the client organization the adoption of digital experience best practices, including the use of data in deriving actionable insights that drive marketing activities and optimize their performance
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & COMPETENCIES:
10 years digital agency experience, ideally with a CRM focus
Strong understanding of martech platforms: Salesforce, Adobe, Responsys
Have worked with large retailers (preferred)
Experience representing your agency and speaking at industry events
Strong negotiation skills
Humility: to always put the team first & accept feedback as an opportunity to grow
Drive: to succeed by leading with your own, proactive efforts, while including the energy and contributions of others to ensure the team wins and prospers
Proven success leading, coaching and promoting account people
Preferably, you have a strong understanding of the Digital Ecosystem, experience in Digital Transformation, and you want to be a key player in this field.
