Digital Media Team Lead
We’re looking for a performance-minded Digital Media Team Lead who will champion mentoring and guiding a team of highly skilled media buyers, define & implement digital media plans, while contributing to the expansion of one of the most dynamic and prestigious Digital Agencies in Western Canada. You’re familiar with digital media buying campaigns, optimization, research, and analysis, and bring depth and passion for Paid Search/Display and Paid Social.
This role will be under a hybrid model, with team members asked to come into the Edmonton office 2 or 3 days a week. Our client is willing to accommodate people’s needs as employee health is a priority. This role will report to the Digital Media Director.
This hire is stepping into an exciting time of growth; With digital now out-pacing traditional media spend, and programmatic direct continuing to rapidly grow. You have an opportunity to take ownership over all paid media campaigns, lead and influence key client relationships and support and mentor a small team of digital media buyers.
Role Responsibilities:
Lead, assist and oversee paid search, display and paid social campaign set up, monitoring their performance on self-serve platforms
Provide ongoing actionable feedback and training to direct reports to ensure performance and development goals are achieved
Establish the need and oversee any necessary tracking set ups for client campaigns in advance of campaign kick-offs
Set up campaign dashboards on Google Data Studio for client campaigns
Track, analyze and present campaign insights, as well as lead client conversations to deliver data and recommendations
Establish processes and best practices to ensure effectiveness in media buying and efficiency within the digital team
Ensure that relevant data/trends are being used to make informed decisions to scale growth and customer satisfaction
Key Experience:
Digital Expertise and knowledge on Paid Search and Display, as well as Paid Social.

Google Data Studio, Tag manager, Analytics certification/experience are required
JOB REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS
You will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit, be passionate about paid media data, a born problem solver, and lifelong learner. You’ll be responsible for leading paid media campaigns and will represent the agency across all clients. The role will require you to work from the Edmonton office.
You’ll bring a very strong analytical media mind who understands how to define a strategic approach to connecting digital marketing initiatives to business goals. Additionally, you are a great storyteller, able to deliver engaging presentations and manage clients.
Requirements
6+ years of digital media buying experience primarily focused on running paid search & display campaigns in agency environments.
Team management or mentoring experience.
Experience building successful digital media plans, from conducting research and analysis, to reporting and providing recommendations and feedback.
Performance-minded and a Pro with Google Analytics, Data Studio, and Tag Manager, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and other self-serve platforms.
Data-driven professional with experience crafting reports, understanding analytics, and presenting this information to clients.
Certified in Google Ads and Analytics.
Laser focused on performance campaigns.
Team-oriented and can collaborate with different departments.
Consultative and always act in the best interest of the greater team and your clients.
