Senior Account Manager
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for an experienced Senior Account Manager for a leading independent PR and Integrated marketing agency. One of the most unique things about The Client is their relationship with full-service advertising agencies with an emphasis on design. To say they collaborate is a profound understatement: The Client approach every challenge knowing they have the full strength of their bench to support any creative idea they dream up. From small boutique roots, The Client has expanded to be a team of 45 people strong. The crew consists of senior leadership and two Creative Directors who provide strategic direction to all programs. They also have an eight-person creative unit, an experiential team who focus solely on creating experiences that will inspire people to care and share. The brand team brings all the departments together in an integrated way ensuring that their clients’ needs are met, that the teams are hitting their goals and are pivoting when they need to.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITES:
Work with clients to dig deeper on the problem and refine their ask.
Provide smart solutions to marketing problems and create opportunities for innovative work.
Effectively communicate and sell through agency ideas and recommendations.
Oversee team’s flawless execution of programs that is on strategy, on time and on budget.
Adhere to established processes and continue to make improvements to promote efficient and effective work.
Contribute positively to agency culture.
Support the growth of dedicated accounts and identify potential opportunities.
A vast and ever-growing understanding of the modern, evolving PR toolbox – and using those tools to come up with creative ideas to achieve client communication objectives.
Maintaining solid relationships with media and influencers; confidently able to identify best fit per client.
Assist account teams with client annual planning and new business proposals.
Pitch concepts for clients based on project objectives and industry trends; secure consistent and high-quality media placements.
Day-to-day support, both agency and client-side, including regular conference calls and clear, concise PR briefings for planning rollouts.
Day-to-day account management of junior team members.
Budget management inclusive of all owned projects.

REQUIREMENTS:
Experience in consumer marketing is a strong asset.
6 – 8 years of agency experience.
Significant experience working in a PR role within an agency across a variety of accounts.
Proven strategic skill, experience working on integrated projects and solid knowledge of the digital space.
Strong history in managing client relationships and expectations as well as navigating a complex organization of stakeholders with competing priorities.
Ability to work with little supervision and maintain project priorities.
A solution-oriented mentality.
Bachelor’s Degree recommended.
Advertising, digital or communications post-graduate accreditation an asset.
