Activation Strategy Supervisor
Background
Our client is looking for a digitally-minded Activation Strategy Supervisor who will champion all programmatic, paid search, paid social, and ecommerce strategies and implementation. You bring a strategic and sophisticated level of growth marketing strengths, and agency experience, while demonstrating strong leadership abilities and being bold enough to make your own decisions. You’re familiar with biddable media and its applications in a broader digital media campaign and bring depth + passion for social advertising, eCommerce and/or programmatic advertising.
As the Activation Strategy Supervisor, you will play a key role in elevating existing performance marketing initiatives, driving advanced optimization techniques while contributing to the agency growth of their paid social, ecommerce and programmatic offering. You’ll focus on driving qualified site traffic and sales through the effective use of various digital marketing channels through strategy and day-to-day implementation of campaigns.
You’ll report to the Director of Activation Strategy, Performance Media, and provide leadership, training, and workflow management to a dynamic and skilled team of 3-5 strategists in innovative social, ecommerce, and programmatic strategies. Additionally, you’ll collaborate with the Director and other Supervisors in supporting the creation of processes and workflows for the team.
The hire of this position comes at an exciting time of growth; the company is growing quickly, and is ready to evolve the business and operations by adding additional vendor partners and expansion of their social, programmatic and ecommerce offering to their clients, with more structure, processes, and automation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS

You’ll take ownership overall performance marketing initiatives and strategies within your team of direct and indirect reports, taking them beyond their paid channels as you look to create additional & innovative media solutions.
Review status and performance of Programmatic Media, Paid Social, Paid Search, eCommerce, Video, Display, Gmail Sponsored Promotions and SEO (as applicable) campaigns with the performance media team members and provides expert guidance and feedback with the goal of delivering maximum performance for all campaigns.
Oversee, mentor and train Strategists on Programmatic Media, Direct Buys, Social, and other paid media disciplines as necessary.
Identify improvements to acquisition performance in channels and on-site experience, and shape roadmaps to implement any changes that are required.
Constantly review and understand customer needs, motivations and purchase behaviors and report back to the wider business.
Collaborate with the Director of Activation Strategy and/or Client Strategists and other team members to ensure that digital campaign management and execution delivers superior results for clients.
Assist the Director of Activation Strategy and/or Client Strategists with brainstorming, tactical media planning and campaign analysis, as necessary.
Provide digital media expertise and research for Client Strategists on new business calls and presentations.
Maintain current and accurate time records related to all functions of agency, client, and teamwork assignments in the internal time management software system.

eCommerce experience using Shopify and Amazon
Social and commerce driven, focused in biddable media
Google AdWords and Analytics certified is mandatory
WHAT YOU BRING
5-7 years of growth/digital marketing experience primarily focused on paid social, programmatic, e-commerce and paid media.
Certified in Google Ad Words and Analytics
Able to work in CST and EST time zones as the team you’ll manage work in both time zones.
Experience building successful strategies, adapting processes and workflows.
Team management or mentoring experience.
Strong understanding of programmatic media, paid search, paid social, eCommerce (Google and Amazon), Video, Display, Google Local Campaigns, Gmail Sponsored Promotions, and best practices with regards to performance media.
Experience with appropriate tools (Google Analytics, Facebook Ads Manager, Google Ads, Shopify, etc.).
Laser-focused on driving growth and acquisition.
Team-oriented and can collaborate with different departments at the agency.
Consultative and always act in the best interest of the greater team and your clients.
