Digital Performance Marketer
CURRENT SITUATION
Ari Agency is looking for a Digital Performance Marketer who will champion all performance marketing strategies and implementation. You must bring a strategic and sophisticated level of product marketing strengths, ideally, you’ve worked with high end/black label products, you demonstrate leadership abilities and are bold enough to make your own decisions.
As the Digital Marketing Performance Manager, you will play a key role in elevating existing performance marketing initiatives. You’ll focus on driving qualified site traffic and sales through the effective use of various digital marketing channels through strategy, day to day implementation of campaigns and with some help of third-party relationships via Digital Agencies. With full ownership of managing PPC, Paid Social, Display, SEO and Affiliates, you will analyze performance and look at ways to improve traffic to our website and their conversion.
This role will be remote and be expected to work during PST office hours (9am - 5pm Pacific Time). To support your mandate, you’ll report to the Director, Marketing and collaborate with the eCommerce Manager and an IT contractor for the backend functionality. Additionally, you’ll oversee agency relationships with an SEO agency partner and a Web Development agency while working directly with the creative services team for content asset support.

You have an opportunity to take ownership overall performance marketing initiatives and strategy for the company, taking them beyond their paid channels as you look to create additional & innovative media solutions.
Role Responsibilities:
Create and implement an acquisition and conversion digital media plan across core digital channels primarily across PPC and Paid Social but also in SEO and grow new underutilized channels such as Email, Affiliates and Programmatic Display networks
Own parts of the marketing technology stack to ensure that we are using the correct channels to attract the right customers. Responsible for the paid media, owned media and earned media marketing mix i.e. PPC, SEO, Paid Social, Affiliate/Partnership, Email
Constantly reviewing and understanding our customer needs, motivations and purchase behaviors and reporting back to the wider business.
Collaborating with the ecommerce manager, marketing and product teams to ensure digital media plans align with broader ecommerce and brand goals.
Ensure that relevant data/trends are being used to make informed decisions to scale growth and drive customer acquisition.
Identifying improvements to acquisition performance in channels and on-site experience, and shaping roadmaps to implement any changes that are required

Analytical approach with a strong ability for analyzing data and visitor statistics
Google AdWords and Analytics certified a plus but not required
eCommerce experience using Shopify and Amazon.

You will need to have an entrepreneurial spirit and be a self-starter. You’ll help build and influence the company culture. The role will require you to work from home, coming into Vancouver for quarterly meetings, and for team building.
You’ll bring a very strong business mind who understands how to define a strategic approach to connecting digital marketing initiatives to business goals. Additionally, you are sensitive to the intersection of performance marketing & brand.
Requirements
7+ years of marketing experience primarily focused on content creation and distribution.
Experience building successful content strategies and track record of driving customer engagement.
Strong understanding of SEO best practices with regards to content marketing.
Experience with appropriate tools (Google Analytics, Klaviyo, SEMRush, Wicked Reports, Triple Whale etc.).
Laser focused on driving growth and acquisition.
Team-oriented and have the ability to collaborate with different departments.
Consultative and always act in the best interest of the greater team and your clients.
Domain knowledge or a passion for the scent space is a big plus.
Education and/or Experience - Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, degree or concentration in Advertising, Digital Marketing, Media, Communications.
Seven – nine years of progressive experience with multi-channel B2C or B2B content/customer acquisition experience, ideally including experience managing direct reports.

Must Have:
Paid Search/SEO Expert: Hands on experience particularly developing paid media campaigns and building brand awareness through SEO strategies. NOTE that Paid search/SEO is executed by an agency and managed by this role.
Product Marketing: You have extensive experience acquiring customers through delivering compelling and strategic product marketing campaigns, ideally with some experience working higher end products.
Customer Acquisition: Track record of successfully driving growth and customer acquisition across all digital channels; website, landing pages, email, video, eLearning, social.
Analytics/Reporting: Creates strong dashboard, reporting and analytics processes that are used for decision-making.
Optimization - Develop and foster an environment in which teams can best analyze campaign digital results, identify areas for optimization and extract actionable insights within the digital channels.
Culture Fit: proactive communicator, humble, self-aware, innovative, a go-getter, self-motivated, strategic & collaborative.
Leadership and People Management: A track record of success leading/managing freelance or internal resources and mapping their workflow
