Senior Product Designer
CURRENT SITUATION
Ari Agency is looking for a Senior Product Designer who can be the star of the Product Design team. As the first design hire, you will have the chance to truly leave your mark in a breakthrough product and lead the design efforts. You will help create functional and attractive products, build the design team from the ground up, and provide valuable design insights into the problem and solution discovery discussions with the product team. You’re not afraid to take on a leadership role and get your hands dirty in executing and leading user research products. You’re design process-driven and if there isn’t enough, you will have the onus to create them. You’ll have a deep understanding of research data, collaborate with other members, and owning and executing design processes. You’ll report to the CPO.
BACKGROUND
Our client is the first product enabling any consumer brand, creator or influencer to bring rewards, loyalty and influencer marketing to Web3. Any brand can launch their own branded crypto token and use it to reward their online fans, followers and customers for spreading brand awareness, product purchases and really anything which helps the brand grow. Our client is newly funded and backed by the brand behind LOL Surprise! And Bratz, the owner of the San Antonio Spurs and other Venture Groups, Our client is poised to transform the rewards landscape by storm.
Our client’s product team plays a critical role in the execution of this vision, and consequently is looking for an experienced and innovative Senior Product Designer to take a leading role in the design direction of our growing product. You will report directly to the Head of Product and work closely with rest of the product and engineering team in problem and solution discovery to ensure an outcome-oriented product delivery. You will lead the design process to deliver a simple and enjoyable user-experience and have a direct say in the overall visual direction of the product and company. You must have a proven track record of being a senior contributor of a design team, delivering user-centric products, and working closely with the greater product and engineering team in the problem and solution discovery stages of the product lifecycle.

JOB REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS
Responsibilities:
Work with Head of Product to assess the impact of various features in the overall product UI/UX.
Work with the product team in problem and solution discovery and provide valuable design insights into the conversation.
Assist in conducting required user research and converting the gathered requirements into high-level wireframes with a focus on simplicity and robustness.
Create and maintain a clear company-wide design language and design system.
Rationalize solutions and effectively communicate ideas and designs.
Understand the capabilities, limitations and the unique strengths and differentiators of the client’s technology stack to best align design and development.
Independently produce, deliver, and validate high-quality dev-ready design specs. The candidate will also have access to outsourced design team to produce the final visual design if required.
Work with Head of Product to define and run user-research interviews.
Establish best design practices across the company.
Where:
You’ll work remotely, however, being located within the GTA is preferred as this is where the teams are based.

Outcomes – What success looks like
In the first 3 months:
Conduct a design review of the current version of the client’s application and work with the CPO to prioritize any fixes and/or updates
Focused on improving usability and simplicity for the end-users
Holistic review and alignment of the client’s design language (across all public-facing sites including landing pages and brand assets
Participate in problem and solution discovery process for new releases
Understand the problem, desired outcome, and constraints to help formulate the best solution and provide valuable design insights
Work with the CPO to create high-level wireframes to a potential solution and work with the product team to test and iterate on the solution
Independently work to convert the high-level wireframes to dev-ready Figma specs
By 6 months:
Continue working with the product team on problem and solution discovery to the execution of new releases and iterations on existing releases
Work with the CPO to assess design impact on planned releases
Ensure the design system and brand visuals are consistent and up to date
What You Bring:
Minimum 6 years’ experience as a Product Designer working as part of a larger outcome-oriented product team.
Ability to take a design process from user research to delivery to engineers given a set of requirements.
Ability to create user-centric designs that provide simple and usable solutions to a complex product.
Able to actively participate in problem and solution discovery and provide valuable insights from the design perspective.
Experience with a wide range of design and Prototyping Tools (Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
Deep knowledge in UX/Interaction Design, U/Visual Design, UX Research, Design Systems and Prototyping.
Experience designing Responsive Web platforms.
Ability to create design processes and implement them.
Fluent in English.
Bonus Points
Knowledge in brand marketing, brand loyalty, fintech, marketing tech and/or community token
Located in the GTA
Interest in the crypto/NFTs/web3 space
Holds some kind of crypto and at least traded.
Previous experience designing for a b2b2c company

Must have:
UX/UI Design skills: To help build a simple user-centric user experience and delivering a modern and visually appealing UIs.
Design leadership skills: Leading teams and projects, a strategic design leader with an eye for design.
